Easter with The Israels

We spent Easter this year again with the Israels. It is always fun to see all the boys home from school & take part in their annual egg hunt & egg roll. Savannah made $26 in the egg hunt-- not too bad for a 3 1/2 year old. I think Hailey bartered with her though & was able to gain a couple of bucks in exchange for a cool pair of Hannah Montana sunglasses :)

Easter Pictures

I tried so hard to get a good picture of the kids together on Easter-- they looked so cute!!! Normally I have pretty good luck & can get at least one good shot throughout the day-- not this year! Here are some samples of my efforts... even though they aren't both smiling, they still look pretty darn cute :)

Egg Hunt

Every year there is a big egg hunt in Napa at a local park. We took the kids on saturday & they had a blast. Dylan was absolutely in love with all the characters & would not take his eyes off them-- literally, which is why we did not get a great shot with the Easter Bunny :)

They had all sorts of fun activities, including a fire engine. Savannah insisted on taking a picture in front of the fire engine to give to Uncle Steve (he makes fire trucks). She told me, "Uncle Steve will love this. He can put in his office & miss me all the time" :)

Again, Dylan LOVED the characters!!!

Dylan waiting for the egg hunt to start. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of Savannah at the egg hunt because they split them up by age group-- and I was with Dylan with the camera.

Dylan STALKED this penguin-- I am not kidding! He followed around this poor person holding up his arms & saying, "Up, Up, Up!!!" until the penguin picked him up. He was thrilled!

Here Kitty-Kitty

Dylan ADORES our cats. Kitty was one of his first words, closely followed by CJ & Beau (our cats names). He takes any chance he can get to pet the cats & loves to cuddle with them too. CJ is so starved for attention, that he will take anything he can get--including slobbery kisses & hugs from Dylan... which often come with a few tugs on his tail and/or whiskers.

A Visit to the ER...

We ended a very peaceful weekend with our first visit to the ER with one of the kids... Savannah. She fell in the back of the car & hit her head on a metal bracket of one of the seats that was up. It bled a lot and scared us all, but at the end of the day the doctor glued it back up with a little dermabond. Savannah was a trooper and took it all in stride... I think she really liked all the extra special attention from the nurses & doctor, not to mention Mommy & Daddy :) As you you can see she is doing just fine!!!

Yesterday Savannah was giving Dylan "taxi rides" around the backyard :)

Giggles

Dylan has the most infectious giggle-- I can't get enough of it! I thought I would share some of his sweet giggles with everyone...

The Fashionista

I know it is super important to let Savannah pick out her own clothes... but when she comes down stairs wearing outfits like this, do I really have to let her leave the house???

Baby No More...

I looked at Dylan the other day & realized he is looking less and less like a baby each day. Since he has been walking he has slimmed out a lot-- no more giant rolls on the legs :( He is also talking a ton-- he can say book, sissy (for Savannah), bottle, snack, kitty (and both cats names), daddy, mommy, papa, baby, ball and of course Elmo. He has been such a sweet little baby and is quickly turning into a sweet little boy. Here are two of my favorite pictures recently of him being a big boy!

Bowling

We took Savannah bowling for the 1st time on Saturday night. Mitch was gone all week in New York and Savannah really missed Daddy... So we decided to take her with us on our date night for some special one-on-one time with Mommy & Daddy. Not how we would typically spend a night out, but Savannah had so much fun & of course we had fun with her.

She loved the bowling shoes

Ready, set, go!

Savannah's final score... not so bad! Notice the 4.8 mph :)

HSM on Ice

This weekend Savannah & her best buddy Joey got to go see High School Musical on Ice! These two love the HSM series and often pretend they are Troy and Gabriella... so you can only imagine their excitement in seeing the show live. They had a blast!

Sleeping Beauty

Savannah LOVES pajamas. Especially nightgowns & most especially her High School Musical nightgown, that came with a matching sleep mask. The other night when I went to tuck her in I found her like this :)

Boys Will Be Boys...

Lately Dylan has taken the greatest delight in making the absolute biggest mess possible while eating...

So much so that we have just been tossing him in the sink for a quick bath...

Dylan is officially a "walker"...

Vancouver

Stanley Park

On the ferry to Victoria

In Victoria with the Empress Hotel in the Back

Mitch & I escaped to Vancouver for a long weekend away-- thanks Gigi for watching the kids! The weather was gorgeous and we enjoyed all that British Columbia has to offer. It was my 1st trip to Canada, but Mitch spent many summers there as a kid with his grandparents. It was so fun to visit Vancouver & Victoria with Mitch and revisit so many of his great memories growing up. As nice as it is to get away and enjoy some lazy mornings & adult conversations, we laugh at how we inevitably end up talking about the kids & spending oodles of money on souvenirs for them :) There is nothing better than coming home to their smiling faces & sticky kisses!!

Dylan & Daddy Part II

We finally got the last two pictures of Dylan & Mitch that we had taken back in September. We had them stretched over canvas so it took a bit longer, but they turned out beautifully!! I couldn't resist sharing-- I know Dylan is going to hate me one day for one of the pictures (I am sure you can guess which one) but it is my absolute favorite!!

Working on the Computer...

Savannah got this really cool Fisher Price computer program for Christmas. I put it up on the garage thinking she was a little young & figured I would pull it out down the road. Of course, she has been asking for it non-stop, so last week we set it up on a rainy day. She surprised me and is so good with it-- she can turn it off/on all by herself, operate the mouse & print pictures all by herself. I can't believe how quickly she is growing up!

We're Going to Hawaii...

Savannah had a playdate last week with her best buddy (and sometimes boyfriend depending on her mood) Joey.  When I went upstairs to  check on the them, I found them dressed like this and they quickly informed me they were "Going to Hawaii!!". Too funny!

Walking!!

Dylan is finally making some progress walking. Over the weekend he took multiple steps on a few different occasions. He still prefers to crawl- it is just quicker & easier! But he is spending more & more time on his two little feet and I am sure by next week he will be running around the house.

Playing at the Park

Happy Birthday Colleen!

We spent this last weekend up in Granite Bay celebrating Colleen's birthday & watching the Super Bowl. We had a great time out on Saturday night celebrating while Hailey watched the kiddos. Sunday we relaxed and watched the big game. We are so lucky to have the Israel's in our lives & always have such a good time with them... We love you guys!
