Time Square

May 19- Mitch & I recently spent a weekend in New York City & then went on to Italy for a week. Savannah stayed home and enjoyed being spoiled by both sets of Grandparents, who took turns taking care of her. Although we missed Savannah tremendously, we had a fabulous time and are so thankful that Savannah's grandparents could come take care of her! Here's a picture of Mitch & I in Time Square.

All Aboard!

May 15- Here is a cute picture of Savannah playing with her two friends on our street-- Gosha & Grace, along with Auntie Jacquelyn. Everyone was having fun on their own creature!

CJ & Savannah

Savannah loves her two kitties, CJ & Beau. Her 1st word was kitty, which she pronounces "itty". Beau wants absolutely nothing to do with Savannah, but on most days CJ tolerates her. Here is a cute picture of Savannah giving CJ a hug!

Crazy Hair!

Savannah has developed this lovely habit of running her fingers through her hair while she is eating dinner-- as you can see, it makes for some interesting hair styles!

Savannah's New Playhouse

We got Savannah a playhouse for her 1st birthday. She saw it in the toy store & we had a hard time getting her out of it, so we decided it would be a great gift for her birthday. As you can see, she is having a lot of fun playing in it & even tried to help Daddy put it together. We gave it to her a day early & the next day when she saw us moving it to another location she started crying because she thought we were taking it away!

May 7- This is Savannah's friend Kira. Savannah was so excited to see her at her birthday party, she went over & crawled in Kira's mom's lap so that she could as close as possible & say hi. Kandice met Kira's mom, Deanna, in pre-natal fitness class & Kira was born a month after Savannah. They now belong to the same playgroup.

Happy 1st Birthday!!

May 7- Savannah celebrated her 1st birthday over the weekend. We had a nice party with lots of friends, family & of course cake!

Kickin' Back!

May 6- Here is a cute picture of Savannah relaxing in the cool chair that Grandma Debi & Papa John gave her for her 1st birthday. She just recently developed an interest in chairs & will try to sit in any chair that is her size, so this was a perfect gift!

May 6- Gone are the days that Savannah will keep her pretty bows & cute hats on her head, with the exception of this UCLA hat which she loves to wear-- GO BRUINS!

Swimming with Grace

April 30- With the rain now behind us we have been spending a lot of time outside. We recently pulled out the inflatable pool & Savannah had a great time playing in it with our neighbor, Grace.

April 30- Savannah loves the water & everything about it! She really enjoys helping water all the flowers with her very own bumble bee watering can!

Savannah's 1st Boo Boo

April 23- Here is a picture of Savannah's 1st big ouchie-- she fell walking down the driveway & her nose took most of the impact. As you can see, it didn't seem to bother her too much!

Making Friends

April 22- We took the ferry into the city & on the way home Savannah made friends with a very nice little girl. Savannah saw her across the isle & immediately began transfering all of her toys out of her diaper bag & over to where her new friend was sitting so that they could play together!

Hooters Girls

April 22- We took Grandma Debi to San Francisco for the day & had lunch at Hooters. Savannah decided that she really liked the Hooters girls. She had a lot of fun pulling on their long pretty eye lashes & smearing their make-up all over their face!

Feeding the Baby

April 21- Savannah has become quite the little mommy. Grandma Debi recently came for a visit & showed Savannah how to feed her baby. She now has a bottle & some baby spoons that she uses to make sure her dolls are well fed!

April 21- Savannah recently discovered a new favorite food-- cucumber!

Savannah's 1st Easter

April 16- Although we didn't have an Easter Egg hunt for Savannah, she did enjoy playing with a big basket of plastic eggs that Grandma Pam gave her. She thought it was really fun to shake the basket and make noise with the eggs-- this usually resulted in the eggs spilling all over the tile floor and making more noise. Of course, she had to test them out and see how they tasted too!

What a View!

April 15-Savannah's Great-Grandma Oody & Great-Grandad Del have a beautiful view from their home in Nipomo. We enjoyed an early Easter dinner there on Saturday night. Here is a cute picture of Savannah with the wonderful view behind her.

Playing with the Goats

April 15- There is a small nursery that sells livestock near Grandma Pam & Grandpa Dell's house. We took Savannah there to see the animals-- the goats were very friendly!

Buck & Samson

April 15- We spent Easter weekend down in Nipomo at Grandma Pam & Grandpa Dell's house. Savannah LOVES Buck & Samson (Grandma & Grandpa's dogs) and spent a good portion of the weekend trying to figure out how to get in the backyard and play with them.

Oopsy Daisy!

Savannah was having a great time playing on top of a large box in Daddy's car-- then she fell in between the box and the door & got stuck. She wasn't quite sure what to think at first, but when Mommy & Daddy started laughing, she decided it was pretty funny too.

Silly Girl!!

Savannah found a hat in mommy & daddy's closet today and thought she was SOOOO funny walking around in it.

Playing in the Rain

Savannah celebrated her 11 month birthday today by playing out in the rain. We were on the porch watching the rain come down & she was dying to get out there in it--- so we let her, for a few minutes anyway! She had a blast splashing around in the puddles.

Savannah's Baby

Savannah got her 1st doll for Christmas (thank you Israel Clan!!!). She immediately took to the doll and loves to give it kisses and hugs. Now that she is walking, she likes to carry her baby around with her. It is quite funny to watch since the doll is nearly has big as her!

Jump, Jump, Jump!!

April 2- Today we went to our friend Garrett's 2nd birthday party. Savannah was dying to get in the jumper-- when all the big kids were eating lunch she got her turn to bounce around.

On the Move!

Savannah took her 1st steps about 3 weeks ago and is now running happily around the house.

Check Out the Tongues!

Here are Savannah & Daddy happily watching Baby Einstein. Their tongues sticking out of the right sides of their mouths (identically) are a good indication that they are thoroughly enjoying the show!

Getting Ready with Mommy

So this is where Savannah has been spending her time lately in the morning while Mommy dries her hair. She surrounds herself with all sorts of great things to play with and sits in the sink happily while Mom gets ready!

Feeding the Ducks

Today we took Savannah to feed the ducks. There were some very aggressive geese and Savannah wasn't quite sure what to make of it. I think she enjoyed eating the bread more than the ducks & geese!

10 months old

Today Savannah is 10 months old! Here she is dancing with her E-L-M-O doll-- something she absolutely loves to do.

Savannah has now discovered how to climb inside the fridge and is very proud of herself!
