Batter Up!

May 26- We went up to spend some time with Israels this weekend and since it is baseball season, both Dylan and Savannah got to attend their first baseball game (cheering on Travis). Baseball is a BIG deal in the Israel household with all the guys & Uncle Steve and all the boys are already planning out Dylan's baseball career.

Savannah also enjoyed herself at the baseball game-- Uncle Steve bought her a GIANT Red Rope licorice that was literally longer than her.

Buddies

May 25- Dylan and Savannah are becoming better friends everyday! Dylan adores Savannah, despite the abuse she sometimes inflicts upon him :) Whenever he hears her voice he immediately starts looking for her while flashing a huge grin. Everyday Savannah is learning how to be a little more gentle with Dylan as well as having a lot more fun playing with him ...now that he interacts more. Moments like these warm my heart!

The Dirt Rocker, Daddy & Savannah

Her is a picture of Dylan (AKA the Dirt Rocker) at the Shouka show with Daddy and Savannah. We got Dylan this Iron Maiden onesie to pay homage to one of Daddy's favorite bands. A local radio show was broadcasting from Six Flags the day we went and the DJ is also a huge Iron Maiden fan, so Daddy insisted that Dylan wear his onesie just in case we had a chance encounter with the DJ.

Ta-Da!!!

May 24- So Savannah is really proud of her BMs and whenever she calls us in to help her clean up she says "Ta-da" and happily shows us her finished product. Mitch and I can't help but laugh. Hopefully this doesn't offend anyone...

Shouka World

May 23- Today we took the kids to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, or as Savannnah likes to refer to it-- Shouka World. Savannah had a great time seeing all the animals, going on rides and playing games. She is already asking when we can go back. As always, Dylan tagged along and was a good little trooper!

Here is Savannah checking out Shouka (the killer whale)-- you can see it in the back.

The Sneaky Little Kitty

May 21- Tonight Savannah escaped into the office on her own for awhile, unbeknownst to Mitch and I. When I called her name looking for her she yelled back, "I doing nuffing." NOT A GOOD SIGN. She then walked out of the office looking like this. When I asked her if she had drawn on her face she said, "No I make me a kitty cat" and went on to explain that all the lovely pen marks were actually her whiskers.

Magdalena the Merfish

May 21- This morning Savannah woke up to find that her beloved goldfish, Dorothy (whom we won at a carnival nearly 2 years ago), had gone to fishy heaven. She was slightly upset, but that quickly changed when I told her we could go to the pet store and get a new fish. So off we went to Petco... Savannah decided that she wanted a blue (her favorite color) fish and was able to find a Betta that fit the bill. After much deliberation Savannah decided to name her new fish Magdalena, after the mermaid on the wiggles, because the fish's fins are long like a mermaid's. She has also decided that Magdalena is not just an ordinary fish, but a merfish.

My New Toy

May 20- Today I took out the exersaucer for Dylan to play with. He loved being upright and had a great time talking to all the toys!

Feathers the Bird

May 14- So our lovely cat brought us treat last night after dinner-- a bird. The result was a ton of feathers all over the house and a very injured little bird. Mitch took it upon himself to nurse the little bird back to health-- he made it this "cage", gave it food & water and even put Neosporin on its wounds. Savannah was thrilled and exclaimed, "Mommy we have a pet bird" and immediately named him Feathers. Sadly, Feathers died today on his way to the animal rescue center-- I think we can safely say it wasn't due to a lack of effort on Mitch's part!

Giggling

Here is a cute video of Dylan giggling and talking to himself in the mirror-- one of his favorite pastimes these days. Please excuse the bumpy camera footage, I was trying to hold him and take the video at the same time :)

4 months

May 10-- Yes, Dylan is already 4 months old!! Can you believe it-- I can't! We haven't been to the doctor for his 4 month check-up yet, but he weighs roughly 16 lbs and is a happy little guy. He has learned to roll over & giggles all the time now!

The Birthday Girl

May 7- Here's a picture of Savannah on her actual birthday. We celebrated with one of her favorite dinners (shrimp & rice) and then she got to enjoy a very special treat that daddy brought home for her-- a clown cone from Baskin Robbins!!

Savannah's 3rd Birthday Party

May 3- Today we celebrated Savannah's 3rd birthday with a party at PB&J's (a giant warehouse filled with jump houses). Savannah had a blast jumping around with all of her friends. I can't believe she is 3 years old already.

Pretty Toes

May 2- Gigi came to visit for Savannah's birthday and took her to get her toes painted for the very first time... what a special treat!
